This is an interesting course that is a throw back to the 1950's and 60's. It has a campy, yet fun, feeling that makes you feel as if you stepped back in time. The course has some interesting sculptures on the holes, some of which were created with a chainsaw (anyone who has ever traveled in the woods of New England has seen these amazing pieces of art. They’re like year-round ice sculptures). A few of the holes also are interesting shapes. For instance, one hole is shaped like a whale and another a lobster (or lobstah if you're from Maine). The mats are also different colors, ranging from red to blue to the normal green. The woman working the course is friendly and kept the landscaping perfect which is one of the more enjoyable aspects of the course and includes very soft bushes. Overall, the course isn't that difficult, but there is the occasional hole that makes scoring a two very challenging. Naturally, there are some drawbacks with such a weathered course. The mats are severely worn in some places and the tee surfaces are movable. Additionally, the area around the tee is too narrow for most people to stand comfortably while putting. However, for a $1.85, it is a great bargain and worth stopping at for a quick game.
